Health Care and Mental Health

Lindsey is leading the fight to strengthen mental health care after decades of underfunding services and undervaluing our mental health professionals. With the ultimate goals to increase affordability and accessibility while destigmatizing mental health care, Lindsey will continue to fight for growing the mental health profession, better suicide prevention and mental health support in our schools, a strong community mental health system and improved behavioral health supports for our first responders.

Lindsey is standing up to the big insurance and drug companies and fighting to lower health care costs for our families. She helped pass a new measure that will allow Illinois to rein in rising insurance premiums, crack down on price-gouging by pharmaceutical boards and lower the cost of prescription drugs. Additionally, Lindsey worked with northwest side legislators to secure increased funding for Community First Hospital in the state budget.

Lindsey is proud to be endorsed by the National Association of Social Workers.
